PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: May 5, 2026

1. Introduction
Welcome. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our congregation and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and mobile app (collectively, the “Services”). Our app is developed and powered in partnership with Subsplash, a trusted church technology platform. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect
a) Personal Information
When you register, sign up for events, or contact us, we may collect:
  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address

b) Payment Information
This app uses Subsplash Giving for donation and payment processing. When you give online, your billing information is handled directly by Subsplash’s secure payment infrastructure — we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. For details on how Subsplash handles your payment data, please see the Subsplash Privacy Policy.
c) Location Data
With your permission, we may collect your general location to help you find our service times and upcoming events. You may disable location access at any time in your device settings.
d) Usage & Analytics Data
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use our Services, including:

  • Pages visited and features used
  • Device type, operating system, and browser
  • IP address (used in anonymized or aggregated form)
  • Referring URLs and session duration

This data is collected through Subsplash's built-in analytics tools and Google Analytics/Firebase, and is used to improve our Services and understand how our community engages with them. Google Analytics data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use this data to personally identify individual users.
e) Push Notifications
With your permission, we may send you push notifications about upcoming events, sermons, announcements, and other church-related updates. You may opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings. Opting out will not affect your ability to use other features of our Services.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
  • Communicate with you about services, events, and church news
  • Process donations and provide giving receipts
  • Send prayer requests, newsletters, or devotionals you’ve opted into
  • Improve the performance and usability of our website and app
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., charitable giving records)

We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
  • Subsplash: As our app development and platform partner, Subsplash may process certain data on our behalf to power app features, content delivery, and giving. Subsplash is bound by its own privacy commitments — see the Subsplash Privacy Policy for full details.
  • Service Providers: Other trusted vendors who help us operate our Services (e.g., email platforms, analytics tools), bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our community.
  • Church Leadership: Staff and ministry leaders may access relevant contact information to serve you pastorally, with appropriate discretion.

We do not share your information with advertisers or unaffiliated organizations for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as you are an active member or user, or as required for legal and financial record-keeping (e.g., donation records are typically kept for 7 years). You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our app platform, Subsplash, maintains security and compliance standards documented at their Trust Center. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at info@harvesttc.org and we will promptly delete it.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, please review these Terms with a parent or guardian before using our Services.

8. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
